Hey there,

John Porter here, I’ve been involved in radio for nearly twenty years now and I’m having a blast working out my Lord’s call on my life with fear and trembling. That’s not a bad thing; in fact, I hope you’ll see the joy of it as you listen into my show with Mike, “Two Guys a Microphone, and All That Rubbish.”

I’m the manager of Pure Mix Radio, a Christian radio station using the web to promote God’s word around the world. I’ve been involved in ministry for many years having participated with work in South American. God’s call on my life started in England where I was raised by my father, a Welshman. My Lord eventually led me to Texas where I married a beautiful American woman and was blessed with four wonderful children. I’ve seen God do amazing things and I’m looking forward to seeing how he uses humor to touch others through our show.

I find that life is much easier if taken with humility and humor. I hope you relax with a bit of laughter which heals the soul. Even more, I hope you gain some insight into Christ and see the private side of Christian life and friendship you might not normally get the chance to see. Christians aren’t stilted holier than thou as much as we’re just so happy that Jesus took our rubbish and redeemed it for His purposes. We love Jesus and take our relationship with Him very seriously, but in becoming more like Him we realize that He created humor. So, laugh, let go, and realize that it is possible to enjoy the humor of life with the righteousness that Christ died to give the unrighteous… us.
